What is Forest School?

The Forest School ethos is an approach to learning to learning which maximises the emotional, social and developmental benefits of learning outside.

Forest School Ethos:

• Children need more risk
• need to be more active
• need more independence in own learning
• need more play
• thinking outside the norm
• real life experiences

We are fortunate to have our own woodland area which is dedicated in part to Forest School activities. We have staff who have been trained as Forest School Leaders which enables all classes to enjoy forest school as part of their curriculum offer.

On special occasions we can use our outdoor pizza oven is permanently in our woodland area.
