Modern Foreign Languages

Fench is taught as a discrete subject with links made to other subjects where appropriate. French is taught daily, for 5-10 minutes every day, to provide effective recall and ensure that key vocabulary and skills are fully embedded.

MFL Day

In 2023, KS2 pupils had a blast on Modern Foreign Languages Day! They had a jam-packed day filled with fun and immersive activities, broadening their horizons and exploring the vibrant world of languages.

The students engaged in art workshops; dived into the world of French sports and games; learned some songs in French; and they even got a chance to put on their chef hats! Let’s not forget the highlight of the day: a visit to Mr Cracknell’s Deli!

We are hoping to bring back MFL Day this academic year during the Summer term.
